Busy
So, I went from posting daily to only intermittent posting.
I had earlier stepped back from the daily posting. But I still posted regularly. I reached a plateau in terms of followers, so I looked at what was happening.
My posts tend to be eclectic, and not of a nature that draws a lot of followers. That’s what I get for writing obscure forms of poetry, being an active pro-lifer (tends to trouble some people), being a Secular Franciscan and a devout Catholic, being a folksinger, and being prone to satire and, regrettably, sarcasm!
I decided that I was not going to grow to the point where I could gain a large number of followers, and hence, not generate anything in terms of income.
So I scaled back even further.
And lately I’ve been really busy. I’ve been practicing for two musical performances. I’ve also been planning a profession of a new Secular Franciscan, creating various documents for the Mass and profession ceremony, talking to the priest who will be celebrating the Mass, reining in my wife who is organizing the post-profession reception and who tends to overdo things and get totally stressed out, and so on. Oh, and there have been extra pro-life and parish activities, volunteering extra at a chapel, doing food deliveries for a food pantry, and so on.
In other words, I got busy. Or rather, busier.
Much busier.
Too busy.
So substack has suffered.
I’ll be back. Really!
Thanks for those who have hung in there.
